Load-sensing Mobile Directional Control Valve
A single load-sense line is able to sense pressure in both the “A” and “B” ports of a directional control valve. Really? Sure, take a look – discussion over!
How a load sense pump communicates with both work ports of a directional control valve is only one element of helping students understand how a load-sense system functions, but once they understand, it sure makes the rest of the discussion easy.
First, we dissected the directional control valve to expose every detail. Then we put the shuttle valve inside a transparent housing and mounted it on the outside of the valve making it possible to see exactly how a single transmission line is able to let a load-sense pump sense pressure in both work ports.
